Grandparents' Sunday
On Sunday, September 10th our parish celebrated "Grandparents' Day" and we were blessed to have so many grandparents and grandchildren present.
We wanted to honour and celebrate the important role that grandparents play in the life of the community. We also remembered grandparents who could not be with us either through distance, illness or who are now residing with the Lord in Heaven.
It was an occasion where we could express our joy and sense of blessing in both having grandparents and in being grandparents.
Parishioners were invited to light a candle in memory of a grandparent or loved one as they went up to the altar for communion.
At coffee hour, the 140th Anniversary committee served homemade scones with clotted cream and jam.
