Today the parish enjoyed a special visit from The Very Rev. Roger Briggs, former Dean of the Arctic and rector of the Cathedral in Iqaluit. The parish gathered following the service for coffee and cake and were excited to learn about what life is like in the Arctic and what challenges the Inuit are facing. Many of the Inuit have to leave the Arctic for medical help and some leave in search of meaningful employment. We also learned that there is now an Inuit parish in Ottawa
Every Wednesday at 1:20 the Bible Study Group meets for prayer followed by the Bible Study itself at 1:30. We are presently continuing our study of the Gospel of John. Coffee, tea, juice and goodies are always available and I'm sure that you will agree that it is a very good sign to have to take several photos in order to show the entire group. We would love to have you join us!

On Sunday, September 8th, Bishop Susan Bell paid a visit to our parish. Bishop Susan both celebrated and preached and gave a remarkable sermon based on the readings for the day. The children of the parish joined together to create and present a prayer called "Jesus said". We heard the magnificent voice of our organist, Mr. Philip Lee, singing "My Redeemer". Following the service we enjoyed a delicious potluck lunch. It was a another wonderful day in the life of our parish
