Having fun together at Still Kickin'

Still Kickin' meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. We have fun playing trivia and Backgammon and enjoy a complimentary hot meal. We hope you will join us. There will be no Still Kickin' on December 26th but will resume the fourth Thursday of January.

Congratulations to Noreen Felker our newest recipient of the Order of Niagara

On Sunday, November 17th, Noreen Felker became our newest recipient of the Order of Niagara. Noreen is a lifelong member of the Church of our Saviour the Redeemer. Her ministry is as far reaching as it is long-standing. Noreen currently serves as parish treasurer and has, over the years held this post in addition to fulfilling the roles of parish secretary, comptroller and while serving on the auditors committee at the diocese. Noreen reads at Sunday Services, provides expert assistance with the process of property inspection, handles licensing agreements (payments and insurance), makes sure that the parish is always properly supplied for coffee hour and Wednesday services, provides invaluab

Pie Makers hard at work preparing for Christmas Market Place

The pie makers met today and made 810 mince tarts and 75 beef pies in preparation for our Christmas Market Place to be held from 10 - 3 on November 30th. Turkey pies are yet to be made for the event. What an awesome group of bakers we have. Lots of fun and laughter and a lot accomplished.

Remembrance Day

On Sunday, November 10th we celebrated Remembrance Day remembering those who fought for the freedom of our beloved country, Canada and for those who still fight for us today in all manner of service. The altar theme was titled “Hats of Service Past and Present”. Represented were the Reserves, Army, Air Force, Police, Firefighters, English Bobbies, Special Forces, Women of the second World War and a very special authentic helmet worn in World War II 1939-1945 between France, Holland and Germany. The medals were belong to Connie Hamilton’s father from World War II who served in the Air Force and was stationed in Egypt and Africa and special attention is given to the purple poppies remembering
