Final Still Kickin' Trivia & Lunch until September

Today was the last Still Kickin' Trivia and Lunch until September. Still Kickin' meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. for morning of fun with Trivia followed by a complimentary hot lunch. Today participants enjoyed roast pork loin, mashed potatoes, squash and mixed vegetables followed by cake and ice cream. Hope you will consider joining us in September!

Ecumenical Pot luck

The ladies group at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church invited ladies in the neighbouring churches to join with them on Wednesday, June 26th for an Ecumenical Pot Luck Supper. Eight ladies from our church attended. The food was great and we had a lot of fun and laughs. To top it all off six of the eight ladies from our parish won door prizes. Today is the last midweek service to be held until September. Our sincere thanks to Pat Dobie, Sam Lottridge for pouring the coffee and putting out the goodies every week and of course our thanks to Rev. Don Coombe for celebrating the Eucharist. AND special thanks too to Mary Jane (for providing music for the service) and Howard Price and Norm Lampman (service assistants) for all that they do as well to make the service so very special! Another Amazing Pub Night

On Friday, June 14th the parish held another amazingly fun-filled Pub Night. On the menu....bbq hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cake and ice cream. Our sincere thanks to Mac McKinnon who is our event planner and everyone who played a part in making this such a wonderful evening. Once again the event was sold out within a few days. Faith, Food and Fun

Today was the finally Faith, Food and Fun luncheon until September. In keeping with the season those attending enjoyed hamburgers, salads and strawberries and ice cream as well as a singalong, and friendly game of bingo. The next luncheon will be held the second Monday in September. The cost is $10 per person. Everyone is welcome!

Pentecost Cross

RED...represents the power of the Holy Spirit and the eagerness of those who open their hearts to the Spirit. It also means FIRE that represents the Holy Spirit who filled the apostles with enthusiasm replacing their fear with courage to go forth and share Christ's story. "Tongues of Fire" came to rest on each one of them. Red for Pentecost can also be seen as reference to the flames of fire that came down upon as well as the fir of "burning charity" that arose in them after that day. It's Pentecost Happy Birthday Church!!

The Feast of Pentecost was an amazing day at The Church of Our Saviour The Redeemer. We began the day by welcoming into Jesus’ family Jenna Simpson, granddaughter of Margie Hoffman through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Following the service the congregation journeyed outside to the front lawn for the blessing of two beautiful red maples donated by Mr. Sam Lottridge who is our resident gardener. These trees will add shade to the lovely memorial bench which was also blessed in memory of Dorothy Tong and Sally Willis. Inside a beautiful new Archive Cabinet donated by Connie and Gord Hamilton in memory of the Corman family was also blessed. During the past year the parish has been busy putting
