Today was the last Still Kickin' Trivia and Lunch until September. Still Kickin' meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. for morning of fun with Trivia followed by a complimentary hot lunch. Today participants enjoyed roast pork loin, mashed potatoes, squash and mixed vegetables followed by cake and ice cream. Hope you will consider joining us in September!
The ladies group at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church invited ladies in the neighbouring churches to join with them on Wednesday, June 26th for an Ecumenical Pot Luck Supper. Eight ladies from our church attended. The food was great and we had a lot of fun and laughs. To top it all off six of the eight ladies from our parish won door prizes. Today is the last midweek service to be held until September. On Friday, June 14th the parish held another amazingly fun-filled Pub Night. On the menu....bbq hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cake and ice cream. Our sincere thanks to Mac McKinnon who is our event planner and everyone who played a part in making this such a wonderful evening. Once again the event was sold out within a few days. Today was the finally Faith, Food and Fun luncheon until September. In keeping with the season those attending enjoyed hamburgers, salads and strawberries and ice cream as well as a singalong, and friendly game of bingo. The next luncheon will be held the second Monday in September. The cost is $10 per person. Everyone is welcome!

The Feast of Pentecost was an amazing day at The Church of Our Saviour The Redeemer. We began the day by welcoming into Jesus’ family Jenna Simpson, granddaughter of Margie Hoffman through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Following the service the congregation journeyed outside to the front lawn for the blessing of two beautiful red maples donated by Mr. Sam Lottridge who is our resident gardener.
